HOTEL BERGER

In the year of 1952 Nikolaus & Anna Berger bought a restaurant on the ground floor of an apartment house which was built in 1899. Soon the "Berger" was also well-known in the other districts of Vienna because of Nikolaus' strong personality and the good reputation of the restaurant. His son Klaus helped his parents though he was a child at that time.
The restaurant was added an Espresso-Bar and later an ice-cream parlor. With hard work and persistance Nikolaus could arrange to pay out all of the resident family units inside of the apartment building and started to rent the first rooms. More and more apartments were turned into guest-rooms only having bathrooms and toilets outside on the floors.
At the age of 59 the senior added a third floor onto the building and gave the leadership into the hands of his son Klaus who kept the hotel always on a modern standard. His dream to give the business to his two sons Stefan and Christian became true at the end of 2006 when he retired.
The seniorchef Susan is still working in the hotel serving the guests breakfast.Up to now guests appreciate to be charmingly hosted by the family.
