For a week’s holiday or for a long relaxing weekend, for a seminar or a special event, the Chamois d’Or is the ideal hotel for an unforgettable stay at the entrance to La Vallée des Merveilles, (the "Valley of Marvels") and the Mercantour National Park.
Surrounded by splendid high-altitude lakes and inspiring mountain landscapes, the Chamois d’Or is a warm and elegant mountain chalet. We have 22 rooms, a restaurant, a café and a spa.
During your stay you will enjoy the fresh mountain air and have the opportunity to take part in a wide range of leisure activities.
Our restaurant will seduce you with its creative dishes based on traditional cuisine and its typical Mediterranean colours.Our à la carte menu offers mountain gourmet specialties and traditional Italian cuisine.
The Chamois d’Or restaurant has two rooms and is ideal for any sort of event. The “Stube”, in Tirolean style, is the perfect environment for a more intimate dinner; the large dining-room, on the other hand, is designed to host large parties and sumptuous banquets and here you will have the pleasure of tasting the Chef’s roast cooked on the spit in the grand central fireplace. The large outdoor wooden patio, surrounded by flowers, has an open air kitchen where our staff will prepare your barbecue before your eyes.
Our wine list has a wide selection of Italian and French wines.
All our rooms have an en-suite bathroom, television, mini bar and telephone: they are individual but designed in the same style. After an excursion in the Vallée des Merveilles or a long meeting you will enjoy the peacefulness of our rooms and the helpfulness of our staff. Some of the rooms have a large balcony from which you can enjoy the view of the Valley of Casterino.
You may choose to lodge in the flat: there is an entrance hall and two bedrooms, one with a double bed.
If you want to relax and rest in a totally quiet environment you may visit our spa: with its Zen atmosphere, varied colours and rich perfumes our Hammam will take you on a timeless sensorial journey while lying on a comfortable, contoured bed.
