Description
Back in 1859, having returned home safe and sound from the Crimean war, a gentleman began the building of the Crimea hotel.
In 1964 the hotel was taken over by the Giacomelli family, who in 1981 began the complete renovation of the building.
In 2005 the bar, restaurant and rooms were renewed.
In the same year a new young and dynamic management began, brilliantly run by Giulia e Mattia Giacomelli.
The hotel is in a central position, next to the train station, in the area of the famous “Crotti” of Chiavenna.
The Crimea hotel has 30 comfortable rooms, all with private bathroom and TV: many with a balcony overlooking Pratogiano Park. On the ground floor there is the Bar, the reading room and the Reception.
The restaurant with the view of the Pratogiano Park can seat groups of up to 150 people. Joined to the restaurant there is the Crotto where it is possible to taste local specialities, cheese, cold meats and wine.
Joined to the Hotel,at our guests disposal is a pleasant Bar, completely renovated in which you can try aperitifs and local wines.
