"La Francigena" takes ist name from the old road that still goes through the medieval sub?urb of Sraggia (about 1000 a. c.).
From the house is it possibleto see its almost intact walls,with the old towers crowning the ancient castle.
Brunelleschi performed the actual structure of the walls under commision of the Republic of Florence between the XIV and the XV century.
The house, at the edge of Chianti, is situated few kilometre from Siena (16), Monreriggioni and Colle V.Elsa (6), Volterra (35), S. Gimignano (18), Firenze (32): all of them well attainable due to a very good road network. The house, built during the 1700 and finisched during the 1800, has been completely restructured: the original materials and the architectonic disposition (arches, stone stairs and front entrace, wood rooftree and fireplaces) have been brought our as confort and functionality increased. Furnishing has been realised with original old pieces.
The dimensions of apartments vary from a minimun of 45 sm. (2+2 bed spaces) to a maximum of 80 Sm. (4+2 bed spaces).
All the apartments are provided with kitchen, or cooking space, with dishwasher, oven freezer, SAT TV, bathroom with shower, heating and fireplace.
