Gallipoli, was in the past, an important seafaring focal point. Nowadays has a strategic position in Salento, few kilometers away form the most important industrial and artisan areas of hinterland. The old town, a little island linked together the mainland by a XVII century bridge, is the first stage to discover a jewels which will bewitch you with its treasure of historical, artistic and natural beauties.
The Bellavista Club overlooks the Canneto inlet, opposite the new touristic harbour of Gallipoli, "the beautiful town" (this means its name in Greek).
