Welcome to Sliders Guest House. Opened in 2001, it was the first English owned bed and breakfast in the Eifel region catering specifically for visitors to the Nurburgring

The B&B is owned and operated by myself, Brendan Keirle. I have over 13000 laps under my belt at the ring. I have been fortunate to once hold the unofficial lap record on a bike, test bikes for PB magazine and instruct for various race schools.

Sliders was not an intended career path it just happened. I am an electronics engineer by trade, spent 13 years in the RAF and 5 more contracting around Europe. I first came to the ring when I was posted to JHQ Rheindahlen back in 1990. I bought myself a tax free ZXR750 because I needed a speed fix. Flew back to the UK and took my bike test. Came back picked the bike up from the shop and rode it the 80 miles down to the Eifel region. When the track opened at 5pm, I did a lap.... and scared myself stupid...but also swore to myself to master the ring.

Roll on a few years. I had met Suz, and was contracting in Dusseldorf. we used to spend most nights down at the ring. So when I landed a contract in Kerpen we decided to buy a house in the region and I would commute to work. Sliders was the first place we looked at. It had been empty for around 15 years and needed some serious TLC. Suz said to me if you don´t buy this place your nuts. I´ll do it up while you go to work.. Deal done. Suz put a lot of hard work into restoring the house. Our only intention was to live in it and use it as a base if I continued contracting. However, the telecomms market was broke, and contracts were becoming less and less. So I took a permanent job with the company I had been contracting with and a good friend of ours (Jorund Seim) came to visit and asked what on earth we were going to do with such a big house and suggested we open the place up as a B&B for visitors to the ring. Suz was up for something to do now the house was mostly sorted. I was unsure if anyone would come to be honest.

However, the rest is history.

We have been open 12 years now Slider´s is as popular as ever.
