Market Cross, once part of a Georgian coaching house is now an award winning luxury Bed and Breakfast in the village of Belford. Run by us, Amanda and Steve White since 2012 we have decorated the house to be warm and welcoming. Located in North Northumberland we are also close to all the main attractions of the area.

With four individual rooms we know we have something for everyone who expects more from their Bed and Breakfast experience. With king size beds and ensuite bathroom or shower rooms we provide our guests with, above all a relaxed and comfortable stay. We offer great quality service and luxury facilities from the White Company toiletries and Nespresso machines and large screen LED Smart TVs in each room. Similarly, beds and linen are chosen to provide a restful nights sleep so you feel refreshed for the next day. During the summer our garden provides the ideal relaxing spot to enjoy the evening sun. Maybe with a good book and a glass of wine?

Located in North Northumberland and close to the A1, Belford is ideally situated for exploring the local area. Market Cross Bed and Breakfast provides a great base for travelling further afield. We are surrounded by stunning countryside including the coastal AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). We are either on or very close to routes for walking. For example, St Cuthberts Way and St Aidens Way. Similarly, there are excellent cycling routes as well. The Coast and Castles and Sandstone Way are just two of them. There is also excellent bird watching as well as seals and there are always dolphins off the Farne Islands. In other words there is something for everyone.

For lovers of history, you will be spoilt for choice by the number of castles and grand houses in the area. Alnwick Castle, where the Harry Potter films were made and Bamburgh Castle, once the seat of power in the north. See here for more details of the attractions in the area.
